The idea was born from the vision of Roberto Radisa, an architect and passionate collector, who has always sought objects with a soul, capable of telling something beyond their simple function. His intuition was supported from the beginning by Martina Zinetti, an architect with refined taste and artistic sensitivity, who contributed to defining the identity of the gallery and its balance between past and present.
Together, Roberto and Martina have built a unique place, a refuge for those who love authentic beauty and design that never goes out of style.
Roberto – The Search of a Lifetime
When I came across this space it was certainly not what it is today. Dark, with low darkened windows, the layers of materials accumulated over the years seemed to cover the authentic soul of this place. But I had intuited it: under all that stratified past was hidden the place I had always dreamed of.
But it was necessary to allow the light to enter. Tear down walls, open the view from the street to the beautiful internal courtyard, bring to light the original traces of this Art Nouveau building. And so I did, without hesitation. The most exciting moment? When, among the dust and the work in progress, the signs of the early twentieth-century frescoes re-emerged.
My experience as an interior designer and my habit of research certainly helped me. I have always collected objects and furniture, driven by the desire to give new life to pieces that tell stories.
My experiences have taken me far away, from Milan – my hometown – to New York, Florence, Tokyo. I spent a long period dedicated to the creative direction of historic fashion brands, an experience that taught me to do research with passion, an imprinting that you never get rid of. And then, when I was asked to participate, as an architect with a passion for homes and design, in hosting a television program on the most fascinating homes in Italy and the world, I couldn't resist. Being able to browse among wonderful objects and furnishings, telling their value and their story was an incredible experience.
I have had the privilege of immersing myself in different cultures and styles in my life. Fashion, design, art: everything has contributed to forming my gaze and my way of selecting each piece.
Then, one day, that dream that I had never dared to declare out loud became reality. Radisa Gallery is the place where I have collected the passions of a lifetime, where I can share the fruit of years of research. And what excites me the most is seeing people who, walking through the gallery, discover each piece as if it were a small revelation.
And on this journey, from the very beginning, I have not been alone.
Martina – Growing together
When I first walked through the doors of Radisa Gallery, the project was just born. I had just graduated in architecture, and the idea of working with design objects, furniture and unique pieces fascinated me.
There was still much to do, but Roberto's vision was clear: to create a place that was not just a shop, but a home of beauty and memory.
Getting involved in this project from the very beginning has been an incredible journey.
I have always loved design and spaces that tell a story. From the beginning, I have supported Roberto in the search for special pieces, in the valorization of objects and in the construction of the gallery's identity. In the meantime, I have continued my journey as an architect, bringing into Radisa Gallery also my way of seeing spaces, the balance between past and present.
Over time, my role has changed. My passion for this world has grown with me, and my relationship with the gallery has become deeper and deeper. Until last year, when I became a partner, making official a bond that had already been part of me for a long time.
Today, Radisa Gallery is our shared space, the place where we continue to search, discover, enhance authentic beauty, it is the place where each piece is carefully chosen, where the beauty of the past finds its place in the present.
And for me, every day in here is a new discovery.
